Mongolian Open Track and Field Athletics Championship concluded in the Central Stadium on July 28, 2010.Over 300 athletes from Mongolia, South Korea, Russia and Inner Mongolia, China competed in the championship.
Inner Mongolian Zan Wei and Zhai Zonlin garnered gold medals in men and women’s shot-put event.
P.Maamuu and S.Ayushjav of Mongolia took silver and bronze medals in that event.
B.Khatanzorigt (Aldar sport committee) and Kh.Michidmaa (Dornod province) took gold medals in men and women’s high jump event.
Zhan Wei (Inner Mongolia) and Wan Zhiani (China) took first places in men and women’s long jump event.
A.Akhit took first place in men’s 800m race.
Ch.Shinetsetseg won gold medals in women’s 800m, 1,500m and 3,000m races. She set new national record in 3,000m event and received MNT100, 000 prize money.
“I believe myself to set new record in this championship but, I don’t think to set new record in 3,000m event.” said Mongolian champion Shinetsetseg. “All competitors were stronger and especially participants from China and Russia were very good” she added.
B.Ser-Od won a gold medal in 10,000m race who won a gold medal in Brighton Marathon competition.
