The last time that Huron County Sheriff’s captain Ted Patrick participated in the Ohio police and fire games was twelve years back. The forty eight year old deputy won the gold medal during the June 16th event in Toledo. He won the first place for the shot put event in the age division called Golden Masters, comprising of fire fighters and police officers between the age group of 45 to 49. Patrick threw the shot put at a distance of 42 feet, 4 inches. Sheriff Dane Howard is very happy with his spokesman’s achievement.
Patrick had participated in a lot of state games for nearly seven or eight years starting in the late eighties. At that point of time, he also indulged in other games like discus, hammer throw, javelin and shot put and managed to win several medals.
