O’Neill Believes on Manchester

O’Neill believe Manchester City must be measured among the favourites to maintain this season’s Premier League title.Fuelled by the assets of owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Eastlands club have previously brought Gareth Barry, Roque Santa Cruz, Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor this summer.

KoloToure is likely to follow from Arsenal, while it seems certain Mark Hughes will add to squad further before the end of the convey window.O’Neill’s Aston Villa team one of those expected to be overhaul the City. But, from expressing anger at the shift in power, the Northern Irishman has exposed his enthusiasm at events in Manchester, and believes Hughes’ men be supposed to now be placed alongside city rivals United, Liverpool and Chelsea as real title challengers.

Manchester City team is going to be physically powerful that they can hold out anything.. If Tour comes – and they still haven’t stopped expenses – they have as good a chance of winning it.This position at City remind me of Chelsea about five years ago – you can have great achievement if you can build up a group of top-quality players over a little period of time. There is part of me in fact quite eager to see how they perform. O’Neill does, however, confess that his attempt to break into the top four are likely to be rendered ineffective by City’s splurge.

Now to 805 and still going , Giggs has been impressed by the performance with which Owen has included himself into Trafford dressing room. With four goals on the East tour and the vision of more to come as United return to Europe for the four-team Audi Cup later this week.Capello has constantly unnoticed Owen since the early games of his control, claiming the sharp-shooter was simply not fit enough to be in contention for a place in his squad.

while he admit England’s fortune are none of his business, Giggs does not believe it would take Owen long to score the nine goals to equal Charlton’s milestone of 49.He has ability to do it said the veteran Welshman. It has been a difficult record to restore because clearly it has stood for so long.

Analysing Owen career and look at the number of times he has played for England and the goals got, if he plays another 15 times he can do it.”Analysing Owen looks like a outstanding soccer player to broke the record of Charlton one of the greatest football player for the one in this season of soccer struggle so poorly at last timeif he is fit to play united will set a record too.

POWELL APEAKS ABOUT BRITISH SPRINTERS

100m record holder Asafa Powell says the reason British sprinters are not challenging because they are lazy.Powell, ready to race in the 100m at the London Grand Prix on Friday, believes athletes in native Jamaica have a greater aspiration to succeed. I’ve said before that British sprinters are very lazy and don’t really want to practice. In Jamaica, you need to work hard for what you need”

Commonwealth 100m champion Powell, 26, from Jamaica believes the economic hardship experienced there instils budding athletes with a determination to succeed that is lacking in their British.Britain’s only hope in 100m is 23-year-old Simeon Williamson, who beat Dwain Chambers in the UK trials with a time of 10.05 seconds.

However, this is the time need to challenge the top athletes in the event, including Powell, and the Jamaican says Williamson must prepared to put the effort to earn the rewards. Simeon Williamson came to Jamaica and what I observed from him is a bit lazy

“He did well and made a lot of improvement and if he puts the hard work there is a lot more to come.” Powell will face against Olympic 100m champion Usain Bolt on Friday Bolt took world athletics by storm at the Olympics last year, winning gold in the 100m, 200m and 4×100m relay, setting new world records in each event.

Powell has been suffering from an ankle injury – unbeaten over the distance at Crystal Palace having run under 10 seconds in his previous three races at the venue and is predicting a spectacle. I’m confident a lot of people are looking forward to it. I’m eager to see what kind of shape I’m in right now. I feel in pretty good shape.”

Bolt said that in Last year I was 100% fit and did wonderful things, beating pack by quite a good distance. I’m not sure I will be 100% fit in Berlin, but if I’m 95% I’ll be in contention.Bolt, who is targeting his own 100m world record of 9.69 seconds, which he set in 2008 Beijing Olympics, is still producing honest times despite not being in top form.

He won 100m on Friday’s Golden League in Paris at a stunning time of 9.79 seconds, but he started poorly.I still have a few belongings to get right, but if I can get the whole thing together I should be ready for the Worlds.I’m eager to race in London because I’m based here and there is lots of Jamaican support. The fans will be loud and I can get my energy.”

Usain BoltBolt starts Friday’s race as favourite, but Commonwealth 100m winner Powell is unbeaten over distance at Crystal Palace under 10 seconds in his previous three races at the place. America’s double world champion Tyson Gay, who has quickest run in 100m of the year at 9.77 seconds, is also at the London meet, but he runs over 200m on Saturday.
